Since The Mandolinquents issued their provocatively titled first album ‘Mandolinquents’, the intrepid four have embarked on many a musical sojourn.
But now, smug in their fin de siècle prediction of this new mandolin millennium, and proud of their key role in its unfolding story and the inevitable spread of peace around the world(!), the four regroup monthly (usually on a Thursday) at Greenham Common, now home to the world's most intimate arts centre and memorable curry house.
People are regularly shocked and awed by Messrs. (et Mme.) James, Collins, Garcia and Mayor plus a rosta of riveting guest artistes revelling in an evening of electrifying acoustic eclecticism. |
